Break up with your sweet tooth!

Howdy folks!  I hope that you have been well the last couple of weeks.  It has been warm here in Mid-Mo…we had like 2 days of spring and then the summer temps started in!  And humidity, possible my least favorite thing!  LOL.

Do you remember a while back when I told you I decided to get certified as a 21 Day Sugar Detox Coach??  Yes, good!  I am happy to report that I passed my test and am officially a certified coach for the program!!  Woohoo!!

21DSD-CP-Certified-Shareable-2018

This program is a great way to reset your eating habits, kick the sugar monster to the curb while learning to appreciate the flavors of real food and finding your new normal.  There are many success stories from those who have done the program.  I can tell you that when I did it, I had improved sleep, a better mental outlook and just felt better all around.  My success with the program was one of the main reason I decided to pursue becoming a coach, along with my belief that real food is the best way to fuel the body and that keeping blood sugar in check is vital to overall health.

I am just as excited to announce that I will be offering my first detox group on July 9th, 2018!! The pre-detox prep week will begin on July 2. The prep week gets you started on the right path to have a successful detox. Setting yourself up for success is the #1 way to be successful! Throughout the 5 week program, you will have my support and guidance. Be sure to follow along on Facebook or Instagram over the upcoming week to learn more about the program.

Not sure if you even need a sugar detox??

Do you find yourself always reaching for a little something sweet after each meal? Do you get hangry if you go to long between meal? Are you pre-diabetic or diabetic? Do you get a headache, light headed or shaky between meals? Do you consume mainly processed foods?  Do you have unrestful sleep?  PMS?  Acne?  Brain fog?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the detox is right for you. It will help you to reset your taste buds away from the sweet, regulate your blood sugar, lose body fat and reduce inflammation. You could experience other benefits as well, it just depends on what your body is dealing with now.

Sugar can have many effects on your body.  Some of them may surprise you.  Sugar is a stressor to the body which is why it can have such a broad reaching negative effect on you.  Below you will find a more issues that can arise.

Potential Effects of Sugar

I know this hasn’t been like most other Food Fact Friday that I have done but I think that it is so important to spread the word on the harmful effects of sugar.  Most are not aware that sugar is so detrimental to health.  Nor is there awareness that getting away from it can improve health by leaps and bounds!

As an NTC and 21DSD coach, I want to help people reach their health goals, feel vibrant and live their life to the fullest!!  This program can do those things in just 21 days!  And has lasting positive effects because it is not just about restricting for a short time and theme going back to your old ways.  It teaches you new habits that you can use for years and years to come!!

So again, be sure to follow along on here, Facebook and Instagram if you want to know more about how sugar effects the body and mind or the program itself.  And you can always reach me at ahealthybiteoffat@gmail.com!
